Community Leadership

Community Leadership

Inspired by his Sikh faith and the concepts of selfless service (Seva), charity, equality and social justice, Pardeep is a champion of good causes. He has given of his time, energy, expertise and voice to participate with and raise thousands of dollars for many charities, serve on various boards and committees, support many humanitarian initiatives,  and advocate for the marginalized. Some of his favourite charitable activities are the CN Tower stair climb and Polar Bear Dip.

Pardeep’s interest in charity, community leadership, and humanitarian work has touched the lives of many people and communities over an extended period of time. Pardeep’s work and service has been recognized and valued as he was the recipient of the YMCA Canada Peace Medal, University of Toronto Arbor Award, Region of Peel Chair’s Award for community service, Auxiliary Constable of the Year with Peel Regional Police, and most recently the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Pardeep continues his personally journey towards reconciliation with the various Indigenous communities of Canada.  He believes that all Canadians should engage in the civic lives of their communities, province, county and the world.  With privilege comes responsibility. Or as my friend Manmeet Singh Bhullar (RIP) said, with great beard comes great responsibility!
